General
Benasque is a small village at 1100 m altitude hidden in the heart of the Pyrenees valley. The climate is conditioned by the high mountains surrounding it. During the winter the village becomes a ski resort attached to the higher village of Cerler. During summer temperatures are high in August but very variable in early July.
In summer, during the day the weather is usually nice and sunny but you will need a sweater in the evening and some protection for rainy days. Apartments and hotels are well equipped for low temperatures. For climbing high mountains equipment is needed. (which can be rented from mountaineering shops in the town).
